Ahoy Mateys!
Men At Sea is organizing a Grand Tournament at Spore-Con in May with attractive cash and prizes to be won.
Details are as follows...
Name: Men At Sea SPORE-CON Tournament!
Date: 31st May *UPDATED*
Venue: Paradigm Infinitum, 220 Orchard Road, #03-01, Midpoint Orchard, SINGAPORE 238852 *UPDATED*
Time: 1400 HRS to 1730 HRS
Registration Fee: SGD $6.00
Registration Goodies: 3 Men At Sea Foil cards (I Don't Care!, Whatever! and Mug).*UPDATED
Tournament Format: Based off rankings.
Rank / Prize
1st / $250 + 1 box of Full Release Boosters (worth $126)*
2nd / $150 + I box of Full Release Boosters (worth $126)*
3rd - 4th / $50 + I box of Full Release Boosters (worth $126)*
5th - 8th / 12 packs of Set Sail! Boosters + 1 Premium Full Release Starter Pack (worth $29.90)^
9th - 12th / 6 packs of Set Sail! Boosters + 1 Premium Full Release Starter Pack (worth $29.90)^
13th onwards / 2 packs of Set Sail! Boosters + 1 Normal Full Release Starter Pack (worth $15)^
*Winners will receive a coupon that allows them to redeem the Box of Boosters during the Full Release launch party.
^Winners will receive a coupon that allows them to redeem the Starter Pack during the Full Release launch party. The choice of which Faction Starter must be made when the winner receives the coupon.
In addition, Men At Sea will also be organizing a Pre-SPORE-CON Tournament in end April at Paradigm Infinitum to give the top winners a SPECIAL ability during the SPORE-CON Tournament in May!
SPECIAL ABILITY
At the SPORE-CON Tournament, retrieve any 2 cards from your Heaven OR Sea anytime during the game. After that your opponent can retrieve 1 card from his Heaven OR Sea. This ability can only be invoked once during the entire tournament.
Details of the Pre-SPORE-CON Tournament is as follows:

Date: 26th April 2009
Venue: 220 Orchard Road, #03-01, Midpoint Orchard, SINGAPORE 238852
Time: 1400HRS - 1700HRS
Registration Fee: SGD $5.00
Registration Goodies: 1 Men At Sea Set Sail! Booster + 2 Foil cards (I Don't Care! and Treasure Chest)*UPDATED
Tournament Format: 1 Free Booster Per win.
SPECIAL WIN: #1 Winner gets SPECIAL Ability X2, #2 Winner gets SPECIAL Ability X1.

the special ability can each get 1? lol... 13th to i think 16th ba normally this kind of tournaments only reaches top 16 if not 32...

The prizes for 13th rank onwards means no matter how many pple join, anyone who is ranked 13 and below will get 2 boosters and a pack of Full Release starter loh. That is the MINIMUM prize reward for participating in the tournament...understand?

Think u need to set rules on some cards and all too buahz... reinforce the points...
Coz some other players could turn up and not knowing some cards have been errataed... Eg.. coral crust...

The 3 Free foils for SPORE-CON will probably be the 3 Dirty Tricks (I Don't Care!, Whatever! and Mug).
Also I've just received info that the date of SPORE-CON has been changed to 13th-14th June at Chua Chu Kang Community Club. Becoz of this, we'll probably have a vote at PI next weekend to decide if we wanna do the cash tournament at the same date (30th-31st May) in PI or at the new date and place.

Then u join lah..some of the Yu-Gi-Oh! players already play liao..and they seem to be enjoying the game.
If you like, come look for me and i'll give u a demo. U'll get a free Men At Sea booster after the demo and if u buy a starter u'll get 2 FREE boosters as well.
